FlexComp for 2022


What changes can you make during annual enrollment?

Members must re-enroll each year to participate in any of the three FlexComp options:

  • Medical Flexible Spending Account:  $2,750 annual limit
  • Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account: $5,000 annual limit for single individuals or married couples filing a tax return jointly OR $2,500 for a married individual filing a single tax return
  • Pre-tax eligible payroll deducted insurance premiums

Who is eligible?

Permanent employees of a state agency or participating district health unit are eligible to participate.  This excludes employees of the ND University System.

When are changes made during Annual Enrollment effective?

The effective date for changes made during Annual Enrollment is January 1, 2022.

Pre-taxing premiums

If you wish to have the NDPERS dental insurance through Delta Dental or the NDPERS vision insurance through Superior Vision pre-taxed, you must do this through the Dental or Vision Plan Enrollment on Member Self Service (MSS). You cannot do this through the FlexComp Plan Enrollment on MSS.
